ParceLink POD is a solution based on customer's need for proof of delivery. The concept originates from the industries to keep the POD for an extended period of time beyond what standard shippers currently offer. As of late, the need for electronic Proof of delivery has risen. Retail giants such as Walmart and Target are now requiring vendors to provide proof of delivery with a signature (signatures are not guaranteed unless signature required is used) prior to remitting payment. Often these demands delay payment past the standard established payment schedule of thirty, sixty or ninety days, and allowing retailers to float money.
In many cases, retailers are denied payment due to the inability to prove delivery. ParceLink'sPOD solution provides a customer with the ability to retrieve delivery information and signature (if captured). Since the document is in electronic format, the customer has the ability to print, fax or email the information to their customer. They will not, however, have the ability to store or manipulate the electronic signature in any way, shape or form.
Customers will have the ability to access the information via secure connection to the internet 24/7 to create on-demand reporting. Customer data is not co-mingled; each customer has its own database.
